Wild Places & New Beginnings

Late Fall 2026

It's been a while since I've shared an update, and with holidays approaching, I thought it was a good time to share a little of where my photography has taken me this year, along with some exciting news.

Returning to Wild Places

This year, I had the privilege of returning to photograph the wild horses of the Onaqui Basin in Utah and the Challis herd in Idaho several times. Challis holds a special place in my heart. With a family home nearby, I've been fortunate to return often, exploring the rugged landscape and becoming familiar with some of the horses that live there.

Every time I return to these wild places, I am filled with a sense of reverence and awe. The aromatic scent of sagebrush, the pure silence, pronghorn and elk moving through the landscape, and raptors soaring overhead are all part of the experience. Add a band of wild horses, and for me, it becomes something magical.

I’m humbled by the vast beauty of these places and how intricately everything is connected. Across these public landscapes, we draw boundaries and decide how many wild horses can remain within them. The horses have no concept of these lines or limits. They are simply living their lives as generations before them have done. Knowing that a roundup was on the horizon for the Challis horses made me want to linger a little longer each day—and made it hard to leave.

Through my photography, I hope to share something of the beauty and freedom I experience in these wild places and inspire a greater connection to the horses and the landscapes they call home.

New Representation — Kibler & Kirch

I'm very happy to share that my photography is now represented by Kibler & Kirch in Billings, Montana.

I recently visited their beautiful showroom and was so impressed by their thoughtful approach to bringing fine art, furnishings, and design together. I'm delighted to have several of my photographs included in their collection, beautifully presented in walnut frames.

A special thank you to Jeremiah and the Kibler & Kirch team for welcoming my work!

Art Comes Alive — Wild Paradise

I'm delighted that Wild Paradise, from my Songs for the Horses series, has been selected for this year's Art Comes Alive exhibition, presented by Art Design Consultants in Cincinnati.

Inspired by my love of horses, the natural world, and my background in garden design, Songs for the Horses combines my original horse and nature photographs through multiple exposures and digital layering. These impressionistic images celebrate the delicate beauty of nature and the horses whose futures remain uncertain.

The exhibition opens November 7 and runs through early January. I'm honored to have this piece included.

Pool Studies at Red Dot Miami

This December, work from my Pool Studies series will be heading to Red Dot Miami with Art Design Consultants.

A departure from my equine photography, this contemporary series explores the shifting patterns of light, color, and water. Presented as acrylic face-mounted prints, the photographs have a luminous quality that brings these abstractions to life.

I'm excited to share this different side of my photography.

Bringing Beauty Into Everyday Life

I've been thinking lately about the importance of beauty in our everyday lives and how much our surroundings can affect the way we feel.

I believe the art we choose to live with can do more than fill a space. It can remind us of places we love, bring a sense of calm into our daily lives, and reconnect us with the beauty of the natural world.

I’m grateful for the time I’ve spent in these wild places and for the opportunity to share a little of what I experience through my photography. Thank you for your interest in my work and for following along—it means a great deal to me.

If art is on your holiday shopping list, I’m always happy to help you choose a photograph for someone special—or for your own home. Please reach out with any questions about sizing, framing, or finding the right piece.
